I have a question about surety bonds with customs ?is this done per shipment or can I use one form/application to cover a lot of shipment? Can I do this even if I have shipments worth different money values?

Tekle SebhatuDepending on the country usually there are two kinds of Customs bonds, single transaction and continuous bond. The continuous bond is for multiple transactions while the single is only for one transaction. I don’t see any reason why you can’t use it for different values.

Hi Tekle, could you tell me the documents/processes required for counter purchase? If im doing a countertrade arrangemetn, do the documents used still remain the same? thanks

thanks

Tekle SebhatuCounter purchase is a type of countertrade, barter is another kind therefore the documents will vary in both transactions even though both are types of countertrade.
