Been an interesting week, most sellers are bust at the canton fair and nobody would reply my emails and if they reply, they said tehir are too busy at canton fair.
Which makes me wonder, who is more important?
a, a customer who comes to you and wants to buy your product
b, a customer who is at the fair and comparing prices from 300 sellers.
I don't see the problem. Canton fair is a major event for a Chinese company, and that means that all English-speaking staff is present there. And, having been to the Canton fair several times, believe me, they have better business there in a week than at the entire internet in a whole year. Additionally, a company attending the Canton fair can be considered serious so maybe they are worth waiting for them for a week.

I really sympathise with the person who posted this topic as this has also been something that has bugged me ever since I started trade with Chinese factories.
Yes the fairs are a good place for factories to meet new customers and potentially get new orders, and yes the customers that make contact through fairs are probably more likely to lead to orders then internet customers, but.....
Factories often go overboard here and neglect current customers in the hope that they can get new customers. The downtime around these fairs can be quite disruptive....one month to prepare samples for the fair, weeks away at the fair, and then a month or two to make samples after the fair. All for new potential customers with no promise of any orders.
Yet existing customers with current orders are expected to just wait as 'all sales staff are concentrating on the fair'.
It really seems to me that factories need to start to realize that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. So current customers should be given priority over potential new customers. You can still deal with both but you should not forget one over the other.
Ah...sometimes,they don't have computer in the booth or after one day busy in the booth,
they don't even get a chance to get fresh air since they are so tired....
but it is true they shall try their best to serve the existing customer well before they develop
other new customers....
