Dear all, Online trading is always facing scamming risk. Always there will be people who want to earn “easy money” and cheat you. This was, will be and will continue, more than this it can not be controlled or stopped at the moment.
If you do not know personally your supplier, if you don’t have opportunity to travel China and make personal relationship with you supplier, then only advice I can give you is to think 10 times before making an order. There are hundreds of articles regarding scamming prevention, fraud reports and so on; target of my article is to summaries according my 6 years experience of trading via using such resource as alibaba.com. All listed below will be just my ideas and advices, which are not rules but helped me not to be scammed ever during trading experience. In this article i`m referring to small turnaround buyers which prefer good from such categories as mobile phones, clothes, computers, etc. Trading agreements when orders are in limit of 500-5000$.
You must know:
1. In China is very hard to find original products, 99% what is being sold on alibaba.com from goods categories like clothes, electronics, daily use, mobile phones, spare parts are just copies of original. Be sure in this, but anyhow high copy is sometimes acceptable J
2. 99% of all suppliers from alibaba.com are just simple agents, even if they have a company registered this are just 1-2 agents which can find you mostly all kinds of the products.
3. Mainly all China suppliers are not accepting PayPal, Moneybookers because it is hard to withdraw money in their. And because of China suppliers (agents) usually are putting around 10-15% extra for their services this payment channels are not acceptable for them and this is not a fact if suppliers asks WU or Money Gram that this is a scam.
4. If you are doing business with some supplier and you where not being cheated, please do not search another one due to low prices or something. Try to find one good supplier and construct with him all your trading plans. I can assure you it will be more safety then have 10 different suppliers.
How to select supplier:
1. Supplier must be Gold member at least 2 years
2. Supplier must be verified member
3. If you use WU or similar payment channel send money only to person which is typed in truss pass profile on alibaba.com.
4. Ask supplier for contact details of his other customers and contact them to see if they are happy and they have success stories.
5. Google supplier company name and check for fraud cases.
6. Do no make businesses with suppliers who are offering extra cheap price, price on market are same, +/-10%, and sometimes better to pay +10% but be sure that you receive the goods.
7. Ask supplier for his mobile phone number, copy of passport (ID card). Just to have it J
8. Check the company web page, check if the company is registered on other trading portals, check if same product line they have everywhere. In this topic again Google helps you.
9. If possible make contracts or ask for warranty letters with stamp of Supplier Company.
If you will respect mentioned above conditions I hope you also will have success stories of trading.

Therefore, my question is how do you know for sure that they are scammes? I mean if you google Walmart they show up in several scam reports.
