Why is China more expensive then other countries?

3 items i came to buy in China and i find out that the final price is higher then in my country or from other exporters. I had a big cheque book ready to spend BIG but i finished closing the cheque book and went home.-- Bad luck china

That depends on what product you are trying to buy. Is it a rare and diffuclt to find product?
Perhaps they know you are new and wahts to take advantage of you.
Did you do your research? having a bifg fat cheque book does not replce research.
Did you find a local contact?
Did you get quotes from other suppliers?

It depends upon the product.
For example, if you were trying to buy legitimate foreign brand name products then you would have been buying at retail prices as you cannot buy these products in China directly.
So perhaps you can give more information about what products you were trying to buy?
Clearly China prices are competitive otherwise no one would buy from China.

you may not find a correct way to source products.
To be honest, companies on alibaba selling product EXPENSIVE, think about it, they pay up to 10,000 usd for being gold memeber every year. The money are paid by clients at the end.

Some products may be more expensive than other country , but some products have competitive price in China, but this is more common especially for recently years, some other Asia country have more cheaper price than China for some product.

Hi,Goombi ,Do not take it for granted that all cheap goods come from China !

not everything you buy from china is cheap. that would totally depend on what type of products you are looking for. the formula is rather simple, buy product from countries that could produce it at lowest cost and sell it at most reasonable price.

Yes China is very expensive especially when compared to the "offers" of Indonesian or other scammers.
Low prices are suspicious. Very low prices are very suspicious. Know your market and product if you want to filter out unserious or fraudulent offers.
