Its a good thing to be friendly with customers. But dont insist to be friends with them in beginning.

Friendship is built on trust and trust come from knowing each other, so you cant make friends with strangers, to be friends you need to know them and this takes time.

My Mantra is begin with simple business, do your job to the best of your ability, make your customer feel that you are the best person for that job, build trust.... friendship will grow on itself.

you should keep in touch with them,althogh they are not your customers,you can send them cards when the festivals,and when you have a customer,you should treat them very sincerely,when they feel you are very good ,maybe they can introduce you to others ,all like this ,you can imagine that.......
