Hey guys, i reckon this alibaba.com is should'nt accept western union payment anymore from their website or seller , because this is most risk transaction ever!! and scammers using western union so they cant trace them easily . alibaba.com should do something for this, and change this western union to safe transaction like, paypal escrow etc. and no more western union!!!!!! if one of the sellers asking you to pay by western union forget it!!! TAKE CARE GUYS FOR THE SCAMMERS. CHEERS

Bromo tools and your contact person may be fake identity after all. Next time better ask them for business registration documents and other identification. Or better yet ask for third party authentication.

Dear all. [em1]

The best way you pay for a company in CHINA is,when you pay them , pay in the company Ban k  accoun t  !!! do not pay in personal  accoun t. ( most of scammers do such business from home and they even don't let other know where and what.) just they open company in free website and they try to cheat customers money..!! so, in bank when they open account , they cant open with a false company name account. Any one can make personal account. you have to be sure that the company stamp and P/I or your invoice stamp is exact same or not.And always search for verified members only ,so that you can claim the website owner where is record of seller as verified member.

 thanks [em17]

Blaming alibaba or Chinese people in general is not productive as it wont bring your money back and is rather misguided.

Every country has scammers - even your own country. You avoid scammers in your own country by avoiding deals that sound too good to be true. If you follow that rule when buying in China then your money will be safer.

Alibaba is not involved in the transaction so that cannot control what payment method you and the seller choose to use. That is up to you and you are certainly free to refuse to deal with sellers that want to do things in a way contrary to how you want to do them. In many cases buyers know that a deal sounds a bit dodgy but they still take the risk as the deal sounds too good to be true!!

It really does not matter how many scammers are or are not around if you follow some simple rules:

a. Do not try to buy foreign brand name products cheaply from other countries. There is no legitimate channel for you to buy these products nor can sellers sell them to you. So the mere offer in itself indicates a scammer.

b. Do not pay cash to individuals, only send money to companies. Do not use WU or other cash transfer services.

c. Invest money to protect your purchase by having an agent do a pre-shipment inspection BEFORE you release final payment and ship goods.

Many people continue to ignore these simple rules and they are also the people that then come here to complain about getting scammed.

Hello.

I am a private chemist selling some research chemicals on this site. Because of the local law, anonymity is a great plus to me. There fore only way to sell them is through Western Union or alike.

My recommendation to you is:

  • ask for a small sample. (I always send small samples to my customers along with NMR analysis graph when available)
  • Communicate with seller live or by email

In the end it all comes to your intuition and willingness to risk.
