Is A Good Management Degree An Essential For Success?

Dear Friends
I think that most of people think that having a managent degree from a big B School will ensure your success in business.
I am not saying that they are thrash they obviously train our mind for success but I wonder how many people with such degree are able to be successful in business.
I have observed that most of successful people are not having such a degree nor ever such perosn succed. So, I think that it is our business sense and hard work which matter most.

You already hinted that you have to get away from theory and get involved with real life, and there you are totally right. The knowledge your degree includes is of course very welcome, but the attitude schools often try to convey might become an obstacle. Therefore, if you can study, go ahead! Keep the good stuff and trash the rest.

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]: Madhur, that can be right and wrong. I have an MBA myself. However, I know of other collegues that do not have more than a High School education making a very good living. A degree is nothing more than a tool that in some cases can open more doors for them then will be opened for others. Theories mean nothing if the person that has learned them can not put them to practical use or convey to others how to use them.
I guess I would sum it up as theory takes you so far an then COMMON SENSE has to take over to become successful.

But i am 100% sure not only degree develop a person.
and my company director is not very educated but experianced and broad thinking he have, and always he guide me in right direction.
but he cannot do as i can discuss in english and others,
In my thinking both degree and internal skill which a person find himself in side. both are very important in life.

I think to do better business one should recognise the difference between Sales and Marketing.
Sales --> It is only selling the products. Only target is to sell more and finding techniques to sell more and profitable deals. Mostly, when refer to sale people only think about short term profits.
Marketing --> It is advance version of sale. It is when sale is done through in a planned way keeping link between all department of company and customer on your mind.
The first and formost requirement of your marketing is to identify your targert customers and where need and difrentiate it with their wants. Than again identifying the goal of the company.
Then you should find a way by which you can give best value to customer by satisfying their need and fulfiling goals of the company at the same time..........,....form ybh fashion......
