Buyer already paid some payment but the goods didn't to bring out, How is it happen ?
Post 12 of 60
it is very posssible that your buyer was given part of the money so that upon arrival of the goods they could get their payment then you can get yours. so as you can see there is a financial problem either way. my suggestion is that if you can just go the for a holiday trip (thus taking time off only for your personal investigatio) to the country of your buyer, you will get some answers as to the what is actually going on. or if you can sell to another buyer get your money and give his money back to him. then next time TAKE FULL PAYMENT OR L/C till you can build a trusted bond between you. sorry but it is seems he has not got his payment or may never get that payment. but wishies to keep the busines relation with you for future deals. I think he is genuine!!!!!!all the best

The problem i think is your contract.

You must make sure that you are clear about payment and your delivery.

The best thing is that you stated in your contract that you need full payment within XX days. or alse you are selling your product to others and that if he did pay half that you will send it back minus the cost that you had to compleet his order. that include storage collecting and other costs.

If that is not in your contract the only thing you can do now is sending by courier a demand letter that he MUST pay you within 7 banking days or you are forced to send his money back but minus the cost that you had.

good luck,

Regarding the particular matter, I think it is better to pay by L/C instead of T/T .

I have bought  soemthings from a supplier and owe money. I pay my supplier the money. You have to treat your supplier, like you would like to be treated. In the end, it all boils down to trust. It leads to good partnership.[em17]

I want to say one sentence only :  you should not doubt all your suppliers only because one of them let you down, you just don`t meet the right man!!!

Good Luck! Have you handed the original BL to them already? If you have it sounds like you have lost your goods! We are holding 3 containers in Pireaus, Greek Port for over 1 yesr now. We cannot even get our goods back due to pending legal action. Best lesson. No payment dont send anything out! There are a lot of fake buyers now out there not just fake sellers!
