hi

in india there is one major festiwal that is diwali !

peoples go for shopping  lot ! even 80 % of consumables are buyd in this time period !

 

second is new year's eve that is 31/dec !

In India Diwali is celebrated by the Hindus the whole nation.
And also some festivel's which are celebrated in a particular State.such Pongal which is celebrated in Tamil Nadu. Onam in Kerala. Like this many states have some festivels.
