I would suggest Alibaba.com offer complete payment security. I think this would Buyers and Sellers enable to make successful deal. [em3]

I think every member will be happy if Alibaba.com can provide a safe, convenient and flexible online escrow service which facilitates transactions by safeguarding the interests of importers and exporters alike. [em19][em18]

Replying to [Admin]:i agree with mahmud.alibaba should become an intermediory escrow service for everyone.i have recently been scammed by a company called ORIENT SPORTING GOODS CO.,LTD to the sum of almost $2000.when i asked alibaba to look into it after supplying them all the details of e mails to and from the company they told me that the company had removed its listing from alibaba.GUESS WHAT?this company is on the scam again using a similar company to alibaba called TRADEKEY.
why cant alibaba get their listed trading companys to have a secure method of payment like PAYPAL which is trusted all over and comes with an insurance policy built in.surely buyers would not mind paying the 2-4% surcharge levy if they knew there money was safe.

What can they do although you may have chosen the best answer; I still would like to forward my suggestions.

Ø Firstly alibaba needs to restructure the ranking system. This would eliminate a risk of fraud and reconsider the reputation of Alibaba and its network. The way this could be formatted could be for example, free member, bronze, silver and gold member and trust p *. For free member the ranking can mean not totally trustworthy and would consist of the normal registration. The second level which is bronze would need a verification of business as well as need documents which enable to seller to sell their products i.e. if their selling brands they should have documents giving them the authorization. If they are selling brands such as Nike they should provide authentic confirmation. For silver members companies should supply payments not only including money transfers but also services such as escrow and secured checkout payment systems. For gold members, their should be a verification of trust, i.e. no real complaints towards the company for fraud as well as the member must be trusted for more than 5 years to receive gold and gold should not be given out to everyone. For trust pass members this should only consist of companies totally verified with bank and credit check accounted for as well the member must have no complaints of fraud and have payments such as paypal and escrow.
Ø Change the way you trade: We should offer consumers the choice to buy online products; alibaba should provide their own online shop or allow consumers to purchase products online from secure companies only i.e. trustpass members. (An example of global sources leadership on how they provide this type of online ecommerce service), payment options like paypal and escrow should be accepted and not t/t or WU.
Ø Feedback: with the ecommerce solution we should be able to add feedback if we purchased items from that company. We than should be able to tell which companies are trusted and which are not.
Ø Companies offering only western union should not be able to become members other than free membership and a warning should appear on the page of that company for example: Not entirely trustworthy. Their also should be a review and rating.
Ø I have many more ideas including to broaden the profit of alibaba advertisements should be encouraged from secure only companies.

Hi everybody unfortunatly i had saw these forum after i was scam by Putian Lizhi Trade Co., Ltd
http://www.lizhitrade.com
http://lizhitrade.en.alibaba.com

Dont ever buy from they, people like this make trade with companies from china more uncertain because buyers cant trust anymore even if that company are gold member o have TrustPass® serves , i want to know something

Alibaba will do something about it, because i can´t see this kind of scammers stay free of charge and happy with our money i think alibba should get banned this kind of people.

thank you for your time

I think the most important thing Alibaba can do to develope a more trustworthy business place is to listen to companies that report other companies that are participating in fraudlent activities. I have already approached Alibaba about one such company and yet they gave me the run around and basically wouldn't help. We as honest companies do our best to help keep Alibaba safe from scammers and yet Alibaba seem unwilling to help themselves when we report things that should be delt with. for further iformation please note post in this section called Chengdu Eugenia Footwear Co., Ltd has anyone tradede with this company. This post offers outstanding pfood of fraudlent behaviour and yet my report to Alibaba on this matter has as yet gone on without any Alibaba intervention. We will trust Alibaba more when you start to act on our advice. [em6] [em5] [em8]

Several things come to mind to make online buying safer.

1. Customer Feedback
2. Escrow services offered
3. No free Email addresses allowed
4. Business Registration/Certificates/ABN's/Tax id's must be supplied before membership is approved.
5. More payment options for buyers should be made available by sellers. (with a big question mark on T/T & Western Union only transactions)
6. Bank/Credit Card details kept on file for verification. Too many sellers use different accounts and pass the blame on to so called employees, and then refuse to accept responsibility.
7. Have a seperate pages to list good and bad sellers and especially make them easy to find. Title pages i.e Good/Best Sellers, Scam/fraud. Members can ask for a company to be listed and must prove their claim, especially for fraud.
8. While people wait for verification of a fraudulent site you could have a pending verification page to give buyers the choice to buy or not, giving them a chance to research before sending hard earned money.

Doing some of these if not all would help stop the scammers.

Replying to [Admin]:I have never in my life seen a more guided and underhanded attemp at marketing and customer misguidence. you ask a question you know is never going to be acted on. If you had any intention to act on any of the suggestions then you would have made the simple effort of at least looking into the reported scammers. the mails i got back from you in regards to an obvious scam are pre-typed responses that you copy and paste to a mail. These yellow belly responses say nothing other than you dont accept responsibilty for the integraty of the gold supplier and trust pass companies trustworthyness.

If you look around YOUR web site you will see that people are loosing faith in your useless gold supplier and trust pass certification because it means nothing.

YOU WANT TO DO SOMTHING?????????

THEN TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR WEB SITE AND ITS FUNCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

apart from that maybe you should provide a solution that doesnt just cater to the safe delivery of money to your pockets like a asgro account but maybe tackle your internal auditing of companies.
