SOME HARD FACTS ABOUT THE BRAIN
* It is only 2% of the body wieght
* (But) It consumes about 20-30% of the body's energy.
* There are about 100 billion(100 crores !!!) neurons in the brain
* Each neuron or nerve cell is connected to other nerve cells in the brain
*There are 1,000,000,000, 000,000 ( 1 million multiplied 1billion)
connections in the brain.
* Each one of these neurons is a little "learning centre"capable of
storing knowledge.(like the 'www '-the network of many servers.)
So dear friends, most of us have barely scratched the surface when it
comes to tapping into those neurons!!
Though there are some basic influences on the brain that shape how it functions and how far it develops/utilised. Some of these include genes , health , injury, self-talk , life experiences, stress, and study(or rather lack of it).Of these excepting mental retardation or a sever injury to the brain, they do not determine how far you can go or what you can learn/achieve.
In other words, realizing the brain facts anyone has an incredible
opportunity togo as far as one desires .

Replying to [Rave Corporation]:
Question:
1. How much of the brain is used in our daily tasks?
2. As a person gets older, more synapses are form, it is often these synapses which makes us forget what we learned and our basic instinct.
3. The neurons are either conducting or insulated from the others by a chemical. Is this true?
4. What is the cause of psychosis and schizophrenia? The Cantonese say "short circuit" to describe a mad person, so it is the brain function goes into a close loop, going round and round like a badly written computer program.
