quota
Post 1 of 7
I have a problem regarding quota.
My supplier needs to apply for the export license for me so I can apply for the import license here in the UK. But the problem is that my supplier is saying that applying for the license is no problem but to get that we need to get quota.
The supplier is saying to me that they can’t get the quota for me because of the quantities I need.

Basically I need 5 export licenses. Below is the textile categories which I need export license for. Also I have stated quantity in each category.

Textile Category - 4
Quantity - 22
Number of style per category - 2

Textile Category - 5
Quantity - 205
Number of style per category - 15

Textile Category - 6
Quantity - 116
Number of style per category - 10

Textile Category - 7
Quantity - 43
Number of style per category - 7

Textile Category - 26
Quantity - 29
Number of style per category - 3

In total there’s 415 of ladies garments all mixed styles.

I just have some questions if anyone can answer them it would be most appreciated.

1. Where do the Chinese get or apply for the quota?

2. How many quotas do I need?

3. To obtain quota cost any money?

4. I understand that some china suppliers are selling quotas is it ok to buy from them?

5. When applying for quota is there any minimum order for the quotas?

Thank you
