If it is a short journey, take a short nap to freshen yourself later. If long haul flight, sleep and catch up with things you normally don't have time to do. I enjoy reading and since I am a stamps collector since childhood, I bring the stamps and stamp album with me and sort them out on board the flight.  Some women even do their handywork up there.

I always mix tour and business with my trip. Besides attending business appointment, I try to explore and mingle around with the locals on my own. If  time permits, then I will meet up with old friend (if any). I always try to steal some time alone. I love flowers, I also go for their local nursery or flower market.

Hobby + Business + Private Time = Cheerful Business Accomplishment

Good preparations for your trip or business travel.

Take some of your loved stuff with you to check, to see and to arrange the things in the flight while you are going to your destination , no matter for travel, vacation or business trip.

Thirdly, my personal experiences are that we should go to somewhere to see, to detect what are the people what to talk, to discuss and eating, plus drinking as well.

New place for new friends, old place for memory recall and recorded too.

Using week-end to visit the local museums and the threaters too, if you go there for business.

Find out what you admire , what you like, what you need to buy and sell.....

Even you don't want to go out of your hotel, try to know of your friends inside your hotel.

As long as you stay there, be friendly, be respect and do introduce your culture and your country about what you know and  your the experiences.

Be smart if you go out at night time somewhere you do not know well.

Do not carry too much of cash with you to the places if you never be there.

Take extra care about your personal safety and take some pills with you in the traveling

just in case you do not feel well.

Make sure you book your flights properly and reconfirm you return booking too with the seat you would like to have and be arranged too,

I am a Chinese interpreter,actually I have many expericence of  manage the trip and manufactory visiting.By my experience ,the following information may useful for the people who first come to China.

1.Food and lodging,In China,the same name dish in different places has different taste(kong pao chiken in southe west is hot but in the east is a little sweet.). .The normal food including,inner part of animal,fish and animal head,claw,tail, meat with skin.Chicken with bones,fish with bones,and Chinese chef like to put some hot spicy ,MSG in the food.Sometime the chef in China will cook the veg with a little meat ,if you are a vegetarian,please remark the chef .For some factory they don`t have a sit closestool in their bath room.The bed in the Chinese hotel normally is a little bit hard,

2.travelling and correspondence,you can use the un-blocked mobile phone from the west  in China,or buy a cheap one in China.you just need to buy a Sim card,there is no register needed ,make sure In every city you can call 110 for police and 114 for the city information ,like hotel ,ticket,bus,train.In some city the 114 have English service some don`t have.
