the ex-works price doesn't have any freight ,just including the cost and the profits you wanna. the FOB including the cost,profits you wanna and the inland freight to the port,you have to make the clearance.
One has to use Ex works and FOB with a named place to use it correctly so all parties understand the terms on the transaction. The Ex Works place is the location of the cargo at origin and is effective once the cargo has passed the warehouse door into the first conveyance. All charges from the Ex Works location are for the account of the buyer.
One uses FOB with a port /airport or inland terminal location only, e.g. supplier in china may issue terms FOB Tianjin, but they may not be located in Tianjin. All charges from the factory to on board vessel are for the account of the shipper, including delivery, export clearance, terminal/handling/ loading etc. Freight from the named port, surcharges , arrival chrges, insurance, clearance and delivery to the final destination is for the account of the buyer.
