Hello.
I have an International trading company and we sell cosmetic and beauty supply in U.S market and of course globally.
We recently started post on Alibaba and Tradekeys and this is really pissing me off!
There are so many inquiries from China and our company was very happy to expand our market in China. Since our company is a good member of “World Trading Association” we have a good relationship with our members who’s living in China or working in China.
Thus, we asked them to research about all these companies in China.
And so far, total five out of five were all fake and trying to fraud other companies!!
Not only this is wasting our valuable time, it also brings distrust to ALL of those Chinese companies. So far, 100% of them were not legit and we decided to make sure every time they email us, we are going to research about them first before we even email them and waste time!
Also we are going to make sure to post online their address, phone number and company name to tell all of you to be alert and be careful about those companies.
And please post online if you find out any companies are trying to fraud.
I really wish there is a way for us to figure out if they are legit or not. So we all don’t have to waste our time and effort.

I had order USB Flash Drives & MP3 Players from this company.
Total almost USD 600 paid by Moneygram because they did not accept Paypal.
After that, they sent me the wrong models of USB Flashdrives, poor quality and defect items.
Moreover, wrong capacity and not my ordered color of MP3 Players.
When I told Jessica (sales person) about the defect & wrong items, she told me that she will send me new ones
next time when I have make a new order. Pretty bad, huh?
I should Google before buying in Alibaba. I use keyword involving this company and then shocked !!

Sorry for your negative experiences, but perhaps you unknowingly opened the door to them.
One thing I found is that naive sounding trade leads cause all knds of scam attempts. But if you come across like an old war dog who just wants business and nothing else, most scammers won't even try.
Maybe it's because I am a geezer, but most of the times a scammer doesn't even get beyond the first message to me. Typically I can tell right away with who I am dealing and don't even reply. Consequently they also give up - most of the times. Right now I remember only one scammer who was persistant (but didn't get me).
Bottom line: there might be many scammers or wannabies, but for me they haven't been a problem so far. All the companies I'm still doing business with have been professional and honest from the day I got the impression that this would be the case. Not one single flop!
