The word "organic" seems to be the new catch phrase, from grocery stores to media to everyday conversations. The organic label is ubiquitous – on every food from produce to meats to the snack foods you buy. But is that more expensive "organic" brand really organic and, if so, is it actually eco-friendly and healthier?

At least in the US, and by now probably many more countries, the mere label "organic" doesn't mean very much anymore. You have to dig into the subject to find who is producing what and how. There still is real "organic" produce on the market, but you have to do your research. And that produce is indeed much better in many regards.

The products we buy in some markets is surely to be not organic, for  so many fertilizers are used  during their  growing and you can figure out so many kinds of chemicals.

It is a fashion. Moreover whole world is corrupt when it comes to business. Like latest fall out in USA. It is also due to corruption.

How do you know that the grower has not used fertilizer. But one thing to be sure we should avoid using fertilizers. Because as per Darwin's theory in future no crop will grow withour it, once it is accusotmed to fertilizer

The possible ansers are wrong. Organic farming has nothing to to with your health but with your understanding of the nature. "You have not inherited your land from your fathers but have borrowed it from your children." Your output may not be higher but your input will be substantional smaller.

It is entirely possible that the food being sold as organic in many cases may well not be so. The chances of a genuine organic product is higher when it carries certification from a reputable international agency but even this is no guarantee.

However, if we discuss the merits of genuine organic food, I'd say that it is definitely a healthier option. Sure its more expensive but keep in mind that there is a lot of loss of crop in organic production and input costs are higher. This raises production costs and needless to add the chain tries to make an additional cut as well. So if one can afford the extra cash, its the best lifestyle choice that can be made. Pesticides are having a direct impact on health and this is apparent from the surfeit of malaises plaguing our generation. Healthier and pesticide free food is undoubtedly goes a long way in promoting internal health. Not to mention its positive impact on nature and soil

Enjoy..
