Sorry ,as a chinese ,I must say it is really a problem of culture shock . Maybe you met some chinese who ask your questions but had not establish the relationship.this does not mean they do not have the sincerity to deal the business.Perhaps they think your conditions is not suitable or other various reasons. So,we should communicate and know each other more and come over the business culture shock together .

In the USA if some in a professional business will start bargaining, i have heard the other person say as a joke " what do you think i ama woreor chinese ? "

Now I know why you spelled it "wore". Alibaba doesn't allow the correct spelling. Oh well... But anyway, let's hope this kind of thinking is not so common in the US, because it sounds rather chauvinistic and offensive. There is more to this world than the US and its way of being.

Regarding your other comments, sounds like you had bad luck. What I have found a few times were people whose English was so lousy that for this reason I lost my time, but otherwise people were normally helpful and... willing to negotiate (adapt). Can't see anything wrong with that.

Nice sharing.

In fact, we ,Chinese do like to bargin in the shopping. And some oversea clients would ask for discount as well!

In my opinion, people would like to go ahead when they taste the sweet. That is why the supplier will just offer a round price(yet no the exact one) at the begining. Then if both sides communicate more and well, competive price will be worked out and even best for large qty!

Therefore, negotiation is need and counts.
