LC documentary required under FOB terms
Post 1 of 2

I am not sure what is the standard document required in an FOB sale. The client has no inspection , but want the containers move to the port under FOB basis. Therefore, what is the standard document that is presented for negotiation when there is a sale FOB basis?

The freight company forward the original only to the person that does the booking (The buyer in FOB basis) therefore, What docuement is usualy presented to bank for payment?  The shippng instruction can first states to inform me and bank, but the person that makes the booking can ammend this at anytime.

You should be able to obtain 1/3 set of the transport documents. Forwarding companies issue those documents in 3rds..1/3 set goes with the shipment, 1/3 set is for bank negotiation and 1/3 set is usually sent to the buyer for customs clearance.

Transport documents are required for FOB basis under UCP600.
