[em1] Hi to all members, Question i have been buying Replica footwear, clothing,

from CHINA, mostly happy with the goods, and yes there is a good market in europe,

for these goods [em3], and before anybody jumps on the bandwagon of the legalitys

of these tradings, i also buy the genuine articles from authorised sellers in other

countrys, some people are happy to pay the extra for the real deal! others are happy

to pay much less for replica!!, should this be such a problem [em11].

Replica is much cheaper than genuine one though a little less quality.

Believe me, nobody is crying for the profits high-end brand producers lose with replicas, they have outrageous margins on the originals they sell anyway.

The problem with legal or illegal production is, you get involved with various graymarket elements who are not always reliable partners. You have luck finding reliable replica suppliers and that you did not have any problems with the authorities in your country. These products are easy to produce and replica suppliers usually really have the products they sell.

The biggest problem comes when people want electronics for cheap, and the problem is that these items do not exist except in the offers of scammers, therefore cannot be shipped. This is why experienced people try to direct newbies to the authorized dealers of the product, and not because we want to make Apple, Nokia or Sony any richer. Otherwise these funds finance criminals who will then become able to develop more sophisticated and more dangerous scams that will put even more experienced businessmen to risk.

OK, i get your point, though i would never buy replica electrics period!!!

the more refined a product is, the more it needs to be exact, correct!!

but with clothing and footwear? surely there is a little, lot margin for error[em3]

hope you get my drift here sir[em15]

I see your point. I have basically no problem with replica apparel and shoes. Let the product pirates and brand owners make it out among themselves. It is easy to copy a bag or a shoe.

However if you want to copy an iPhone you must build a factory... and, having a factory, why don't you produce originals for Apple - no risk, better money!

You that preach of IPR and patents would off course sell your soul for a few pennies.. IMPERIALISM at its best , bulldoze the world with sheer naked aggression and make a killing. Did hear from Oliver stone you traded in drus too Contra Deals, Vietnam and Korea. ... BUY GENUINE and protect other people's property rights (IPR)

Regarding your original question, it's hard to tell from the distance how your market would react to replicas (as opposed to the real stuff). In any case, there should be some market, but how much of it you can reasonably attract is something I wouldn't venture to say from here. That depends a lot on your knowledge, abilities, relations, attitude, etc. But perhaps this opinion gives you some pointers as to what to investigate. Good luck! [em19]
