hello mr nambi, i´m new in the field of international trade. I´m about to order my first importation.

I need some advice about how to know who to trust.

I have read about the: "trust pass" and "gold supplier", what else can you tell me about it?

thanks,

Dear sir,

In my opinion , you should check more information about the supplyer, not only listen to them ,but also check the information in the internet and reality.

Here is what I have found to be effective ways of vetting a trustworthy supplier. 1. You must do a 3rd party check on the legitimacy of the suppliers/business. There are a number of companies in HK and china that can give you the legal status of the company for less than $50 USD. 2. You need to talk with at least one other party that has successfully purchased product from them. If the supplier refuses to give you the name of any past/present clients then you know that there are issues. You can politely ask for a referral from your potential supplier without being offensive. 3. You need to have some physical confirmation of the location/factory/capabilities of your supplier. this can only be done by either a personal visit or a 3rd party audit. This is, in my mind the most important step you can possible take. 3rd parties cost about $600 USD plus expenses for a standard audit. 4. Make sure that you communicate ALL questions and repeat all answers back to your supplier multiple times. Remember, you may be and your supplier certainly is speaking English as a second language. Get everything in writing and confirm it at least twice before you make and deals. 5. DO NOT EVER SEND MONEY TO AN ACCOUNT OR TO A PERSON THAT YOU CANNOT FOLLOW UP WITH OR HAVE SOME SECURITY/RECOURSE IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS. 6. Make sure that you have WORKING samples before you order any product. 7. Make sure, through 3rd party QC, that you check your product BEFORE it gets loaded onto the ship/plane. 8. If you are not willing to this pre-order work then you should only spend as much money as you can afford to lose.

There are so many suppliers listed as "trust pass" and "gold supplier", and no difference on them that which one is better. You just need to make sure it is a good supplier and trustworthy.you can hire a individual person to work for you. meanwhile, there is more or less things happened when you are dealing with the supplier, and this one can help you to solve the problem.

Verify the supplier, visit the factory, check their products they made before to see whether their quality are good or not, as well as supplier ability whether suitable for your order.

If you want a really quality, a final inspection is not enough(just know situation of the goods, but can not return), you have to check the materials that they are going to use for your order, see the workmanship when the first item is made out from the bulk production in their production line, checking again in the middle of the production to make sure again the bulk quality, then the final inspecion when all goods are ready to see the situation of the goods. If you can do like this, I think you can get exactly what you want and get satisfaction.

Surely, you can not fly to China to check, this is why I suggest you to hire one that you can trust, and work for you for long time.
