My client ask for 50% discount of the model price. We quota the price is 1.08$ of our item , client ask for discount, we want to do business with customer, make some concession 0.98usd, this is our bottom price, the client request again, we think it's very hard to give client some discount for us. We ask customer give us their target price.

We are very surperise to know that they give us 0.58usd.

How do I reply the client?

Pls give me some suggestion.

Replying to [boerqin]: Hi,
Hmmmmmm ........ I have read your problem seriously and I think you should not make further discount cauze this can degrade your companies dignity also. As well as your customer will think again if he could make some more discount. This will give him a think like he is still not in full profit.
Make some rules for discount. This will become a believe in you for the customers.
Have so much great deals.... God Bless you[em21] [em15] [em37]

Replying to [boerqin]:after reading ur question, it is quite simple.your buyer wants to reduce the margin by 25 % on your given price.in your case if it is $1.08 means the buyer wants at 25%less on this.the reason because if he ask for 50 you wil given him at 25 less.it is simple logic

Hi
Your question is quite logical, but the question of discount is to be solved by yourself. If you have done a reasonable costing then the discount can't be provided on the verge that if we will do so the quality will not remain the same.
I mean you will have to explain it to the potential buyers.
then if the person is genuine business holder he will never ask for the discount again.
Thanks

Just explain to the buyer that we can do this price but it will have to be a vast number of your product units.
I don not know what margins you work on profit wise but i'm sure if you say ordering 20000 units we can do this price then

Good luck

hi,boerqin! I also met this problems frequently! If you think the customer worth while your coopearation, just give him the rock bottom price, even with no margin(i did it in the past). If you think the target price is not reasonable, just show him the breakdown of the cost and tell him it is impossilbe and hope to coopearte with him next time! Sometimes, we should give this buyer pressure, otherwise, they will think they can get very very cheap goods from china!
