Ok, I just had to say something about these sellers that after discussion will offer "free" samples for a $3-$15 item (maybe 100grams). I have had some experience with this so I pretty much know what is coming next.
* Oh... you should pay for the shipping and the cost is $130 USD* :) LOL.
I would much rather pay full price for the item and the full cost of shipping,... just dont try to make your days work off of this "free" sample. Show some goodwill and prospect for good business relationship. I am very familiar with EMS, airfreight, UPS and Sea Freight charges from China.
Everytime I see a seller raising up price for shipping on first contact, I move on. It is just a big turnoff. In addition, not many seller make it easy for making payment for the initial product. I dont mind paying a $20 wire fee for a full shipment, but dont like to pay TT wire fee for some small sample. Why dont you guys accept Paypal or something?
Theres usually a hundred more sellers that will want to build the business for both profit.
Marco
Thanks Marco for the warning! Many of my contacts have had huge shipping cost! ( LIke $20.00 for a case of 12 sheet sets) Of course that would take a bite out of my profit.Since I am just getting into the business I am not familiar with shipping cost, therefore it may be the going rate. Is threre a way I can either arrange my own shipping or get some kind of rate sheet? I would greatly appreciate you advice.
Thank You,
Beverly Bell
sorry I can not agree with you marco.
i'm a supplier from china, andevery month we got more than 100 customers asked me to arrnge free sample to them, mostly also asked free freight charge.
Yes,we want establish a business with the customer, but, please note, now, all supplier from china have only a little profit, anf exvery month we need pay a lot of money on the sample to customers, so the cost is rised, but if we want add it on the price, the customer is losed.
So now, usually we can supply free sample to our customer, the actually free, but about the freight charge, should be payed by customer. business is business, we hope win-win solution.
Frankly to said, now lots of customer is used to ask free sample at the starting of a business, they ask lots of free sample from each supplier, but no play order, as a supplier, we can't afford to.

I sometimes trade with china.
I newer ask a free sample, cause there is no such thing as free.
To be a good business relation all parties have to make a profit.
I think that the major problem is whe chinese comapnies do not want to make drop orders.
I always only buy one or a few things to check the quality and if the supplyer is to be trusted.
My general impression of the chinese is that they are to be trusted and wants to build good relations.

Regarding shipping cost, i would like to send our clients the weight and package size, then let our clients to check the shipping cost to decide prepaid or freight collect.
In fact, we are not willing to cheat our customer just for earning some shipping cost, If we are do that,we are stupid.
For building longterm cooperation relationship, we would like to introduce our best product and service for our clients.
We are sincere.
