Hello,

sorry for hearing it. Unfortunatelly I was probably also cheated by another company called Phone Connections Co. Ltd. I trusted to this company because it is located in United Kingdom. I have already made the payment and I should receive tracking number (fortunatelly I paid "only" 240,- EUR for two mobiles at the beginning). But it is 2 days at the moment and I haven´t received any tracking number and my questions are without any replies. I wanted to show my good faith to buy and to pay what I ordered. And I received only scepticism to similar companies. I think when alibaba would receive information like mine and yours they should cancel their user rights and cancel their account, I think that any evaluation would be helpful. I will wait till the end of this week and then I will try to write an e-mail to alibaba. That´s a sad when there is somebody who would like to make a business and is cheated. Like Metallica sings - Kill´em All :-)

Sounds like the case of an imposter. A month ago I was contacted by one of my subscribers who said they read a negative comment about a company on my supplier list. After we looked into the complaint the address, phone number, and other contact information was different than the information we had for our supplier of the same name. After contacting both companies we easily determined that someone in Asia was using their name and having buyers WU money to them in Asia. The real company is in the UK.

Look, I could have saved your $2300. My service is less than half an iPhone's price for a year. Many have signed up and many have done deals. No one has been scammed.

The company I was thinking of is Globstar.

I am sure you could save the money. But there is another and bigger problem. I don´t understand why somebody who make an order and send money in advance. I try to understand the supplier that they want to have a guarantee, but where the guarantee is for buyers? And these people are cheated. Would be there any possibility that Alibaba could work for example as bank doing letter of credit operation? The buyer would send money to Alibaba and supplier would send the goods. When the buyer received the goods he would send the confirmted documents and Alibaba would send the money to supplier. Of course this servcie could be paid (but of course cheaper than the banks). Otherwise I see to better situation and there will be more and more cheated buyers. If the trade wouldn´t be made the money would be sent back to buyer (for example without fee). And fake suppliers than could be easy deleted (and their IP address could be blocked). It is problem of faith. Most of buyers want to do business unfortunatelly there are much more suppliers who want to cheat. That´s a pitty. [em4]

You have to ask yourself why would Alibaba want to start such a program?  The challenges and headaches of dealing as an escrow service is insane.  Can you imagine the amount of new hires they would need to opperate just the complaint side of the business?  They have a good thing going right now that they can barely monitor or even keep up with.

I am very aware that trust is a mojor element to the equation of buying and that many buyers do not have the money or the want to travel overseas for an inspection.  This is why you have to educate yourself for a long time before you start making deals.  We have never been the victim of a scam on Alibaba because of the extensive research we did on many, many suppliers.  Almost all never passed and they used up about a years worth of time.  In the end after reading all the posts of just about every website we were able to find a couple of legitimate suppliers.  Those suppliers then lead to more suppliers and then to trade shows.  Then we found more suppliers.  So it can be done!  Anyone can do this if they stick to it!

We just saw an oppertunity to help buyers find suppliers quickly and without spending all the time tracking them down.  This opportunity also helps us make a little extra at the end of the month, it helps our subscribers save money, they get to start making deals, and the scammers lose the opportunity to scam another buyer.

No, ours is in the US. That way there is recourse if we scam a customer. They can find us via our Missouri business license number 19721285. Without a business license how do you know a company is for real?

I have this kind of experience ,not from Glomarket , but just two pieces of phones , I contact with the manager in that company , he explain to me that the price is FOB price , he is responsible for the risk in China , but if the goods take in my custom , he will not take the responsibility . I contatcted with my attorney, he said according to the international trade terms ,it's true , so I do not ask for their reponse any more . Now I am still careful for the shipping safty

Yes, FOB Shenzhen means that as soon as the items leave the supplier YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for them.  This is another way they put the screw to you.
