hello, i am in the progress of ordering some cement mixers and the supplier has provided a quantity of 160 units per 40ft container. The measurements are 75x65x72

Does anyone know how to calculate the quantities for a 20ft container or even a 40ft hc container?.

Hi Jackstar:

The measurment for 20" cntr is 230x23xx600 cm. which mean that you can load 27 machine in 1x20".

If your goods are stackable then the quantity would be doubled to 54 machine.

I suggest for your to use 40" cntr where you can laod 108 machine to save money for the freight cost (depends on the total goods gross weight).

Measure for  75cm x 65cm x 72cm is 0.351 cbm and then  CBM for 40ft will be approx.56.160cbm

It means 40ft cont. can be laded 56.160 cbm

20 ft cont. is loaded around 25 cbm  and 40ft HQ cont. is loaded around 70 cbm

so you can calculate the measures like 25cbm /0.351= 71 units and 70cbm/0.351=200 units

Hoping to be helped to your business

DEAR SIR,

WE ARE DEALERS OF AUTOMOBILE TYRES, TUBES AND BATTERIES.

WE CALCULATE 42%OF 40 FT IS 20FT.

SINCE 20FT IS STANDARD  AND 40 IS HC, SO WE CAN ONLY TAKE 42% OF 40FT NOT 50%.

THANKS

hello sir,

first of all i want tell you that 1 x 40 hq container measure around ( 66 cbm )

so that means 1 x 20 hq container has ( 33 cbm )

for calculating units ( 75 x 65 x 72 )= 351000

351000 divide this with ( 100 ) three times an you will come to know the exact size of units

=.351

now if you want to calculate it for 1 x 40 hq container method will be as below

1 ) ( 66 / .351 ) = 188 units

an if you want for 1 x 20 hq container

2 ) ( 33 / .351 ) =94 units

in this way you can calculate the units in contianers.

i hope this can be useful to you sir.

regards

ibrahim

Hi, I used to have a small book showing all measurements and pictures of Containers.. printed by Nedlloyd shipping I found it very handy..I cannot find it after shifting to Australia. OK your packages measure .351M3.you could divide this by the inside measurement but we do not have it... I think it is better to take the word of your supplier.. ie 160 units...as he must have shipped this before. If you want a smaller shipment I think a L/C  20ft you could fit inside 65 to 75 units...Regards, Chris T.
