Dear Sir,

We have just tried to make our first transaction with the company called 229 electronics USA.

WE were informed that payment can be made after we receive goods, but we were asked to mail a copy of passport and driving licenece.

Just after we have emailed it,  the person got off the line and no aswer was received.

We are really worried now and wonder what a copy of such documents can be used for?

Please help or direct us to someone who can help.

I ordered 10 Iphones at Mr. Olak Rezz but I wanted to talk to him at the phone first. He gave me a nr. in London and I wondered why he is not in Texas USA. So I asked him for his adress to come to london and pay cash after getting my products. He interrupted the conversation abruptly. I guess he is just fishing for idiots here at Alibaba. , seems little strange, but this is only the copy of passport and driving license, would they use them to cheat other ones?

No legitimate seller would let a new customer in a foreign country pay for goods after they receive them. This is just commonsense and the suggestion that these terms could be acceptable should have been your first warning that this seller was not legit.

For what purpose would a seller need the documents that you sent them? The only purpose would be identity theft so my advice would be for you to contact your local authorities and see if you can cancel those documents and get new ones with new numbers in order to distance yourself from the ones that you have now given out to be sold off to the highest bidder.
