Quoting from [Sabby]:
Why do Chinese manufacturers use Excel . to send ecatalogues and files very few use PDF
This situation annoys me, too, as it takes forever sending out an excel catalog, versus the swift re-transmission of a pdf file.
My suspicion is that it has to do with the fact that excel is already included in your OS, while you have to buy the pdf software...

we believe its better to print on PDF instead of paper to save the environment as our signature says . there is a dopdf web site you can goodle the same its the best i encountered so far. but unlike Adobe it does not provide for security features and reducing file size.

Why don't we use Excel? It is easy to use and re-make. Right?
But, for our company, we usually use PDF. As we know, so many customers like you don't like to use Excel.
DEAR LINDY
PDF is not a programme you have to learn but an utility that one can use for printing of focuments to transfer over the internet and offer security from editing .and much more. ALl you have to do is edit your excel sheet address it to a customer and print it in PDF send the PDF document to the client. So PDF is not a replacement for excel but an enhancement of efficency and professionalism.

This cannot be true at all a customer likes crisp and presentable e-catalogue and stuff and does not insist in which application it has to be sent. You can secure your interest if you use PDF whcih is not editable and even pictures cannot be misued.
