When Importing and selling to local buyer and the shipment is delivered directly to him/her, which documents is he/her going to receive with shipment?
How can I ensure, for example, that packing slip does not contain supplier's name?
Best Regards
Replying To [Matt - Toronto]:This depends a lot as to how the entire deal is handled.
Either way, if the Seller clears the goods through customs, he will need the original Bill of Lading, which means that the Seller's name and address (As the shipper) WILL appear on the Bill of Lading.
If YOU clear the goods through customs, then naturally, the Buyer will NOT see the Bill of Lading.
Interesting...
What if the BUYER clears custom?
Also, can I clean the customs on behalf of the buyer? (in this case, he's the importer, i am the "broker" that will not have title of the goods)
Thanks a lot!

Matt... run that second part again..... I am going to assume just for arguments sake that your source is in China.. you are in Toronto..... your buyer is in Toronto also.
YOU clear customs (using your own customs broker) and then ship the goods to YOUR buyer with no paperwork except the invoice from you.
If the buyer is in (lets say) Vancouver rather than Toronto then you want the shipment to arrive in Van instead (cheaper). What you need to do is have a customs broker clear the shipment for YOU and then you get the on-ship done to the client using YOUR paperwork (you can work this with the customs agent probably as they usually have contacts in trucking etc as well)
and yeah you do want to avoid the end buyer seeing your paperwork!
Quoting from [Matt - Toronto]:Just tell your supplier not to include such slips in the cartons! When Importing and selling to local buyer and the shipment is delivered directly to him/her, which documents is he/her going to receive with shipment?

If shipping to the direct buyer, there must including any info about the seller, at least the name of the company, and they buyer and google out the company and contact them.
If you are worry about this, then you can hire a drop shipper at your seller's end, and ask your supplier to ship goods to your drop shipper, so the shipping documents will only have the drop shipper's info on it, and buyer can not get to the seller.
Is this helpful for you? if you want to learn more, you can contact me.
Hi,if your final buyer will clear the goods instead of you, you can ask the suplier to offer Ex-factory price, then you ask the exporting company or shipping agency to pick up the goods from the factory and export the goods and ship the goods. (the shipping agency can do this work). If the factory don't export themselves, their contact information will not be showed in the B/L. Then you offer the shipping documents like commercial invoice and packing list and B/L to your final buyer.
The second way is the shipper only left their company name, not tel No. and fax No.
Even that, your final buyer can still search out the full contact details if he want.
I hope I express myself clear in English.
If you still don't understand, welcome to contact me, I will help you out with this.

Friend Matt, first i think i know an idea to solve this problem , but it needs you , your supplier and forwarder's cooperation.
The final information presented to your final customer will be forwarder's information,
not your supplier's.
Let me take an example to explain it to you :
1. Suppose : you are middelman in Canada and i am your supplier in china (whateve
i am a middleman or direct factory) . now goods arrived in a port of canada and your
customer will make the clearance directly.
2. How to prepare the documents . As the friends above said , normally the documents
are B/L , packing list and commercial invoice or CO.
For B/L, if your supplier is a factory, no export right, then the factory will ask an export agent to export the goods to you . Here ask your supplier or the agent to use a third party's Foreign Exchange Management and Control Form . This is the most important. Only in this way, the company presenting on the B/L will be an third party.
In this way, when preparing the packing list and commercial invoice, you can ask your partner in china to use the same third party's name and contact information.
Sometimes i did like this.
Do you understand ?
