Hi!

I think You will be faced with resistance from the owners on making this.

Good luck.

Your post is a bit unclear.... Why exactly do you want to switch the BL?

Also..... US Customs would seize a shipment if the BL was not correct......If you change the origin that would be considered fraud by Customs in most countries.

I have a shpt ex Korea to Iran. L/C is between DXB and Iran. Supplier in DXB has purchased goods from korea and will now send to Iran. So the korean supplier does not know of L/C. Can I follow normal switch B/L conditions and prepare NON L/C B/L for Korea and then the L/C B/L? But if we surrender the B/L for the first sector, can I still submit the Original B/L for the second sector in bank????
Since POL on M-B/L and H-B/L will be different, wont there be a discrepency at destination??? while filing for manifest at the local handing agent of co loader???

Please reply soon as I need to finalize this shpt.

HI,,
Yes you can change but make sure that the first B/L is surrendered at origin and only the copy of switch B/L is available at destination.

If you are planning to switch a B/L, then you will have to have a reliable shipping forwarder. You wil get into trouble if this is not done properly.

Other than switching the documents, I would think that you need to change the container as well. This is to prevent the destination's port customs from finding out the hanky panky things that you have done.
