Yes, Usama's suggestions are quite good. Want to add to please reclassify articles according to forums so that comments on articles can go in the proper forums.

Resource doesn't mean the word " interactive "
to attract people in.
I like it being replaced by Forum
"Resource" is datebase sounds like a quiet Library

I would love to have community based approach, but it is quite essential that navigation is kept simple, therefore toolbar like Usama suggested is probably the best practical solution.
Community approach should turn our profiles into business cards. It would be beneficial if I could follow what somebody is writing on forums or posting to be sold or bought by just following that profile, just in the similar matter as we now can follow topics.
