We have recently brought 250 GHD's for the NZ market from Mount Rise in China - he assured us they were the real deal and when they arrived they are fakes. We would like to purchase more from another supplier, but after reading some posts on Indonesian suppliers we are cautious about purchasing again. None of the companies we have approached will send us a sample. Does anyone know of a trustworthy company who could provide us with genuine ghds? We do not want to be shafted twice! Thanks

As I have now found out, why would Distributors in Indonesia sell bulk Ghds for $20 each. The Ghd Company would go bust or not make much profit.

In my experience I would not trust any Distributor here selling Ghds. It seems like they have cottoned on that this would make great sales and that not many people can get hold of the product.

Any one can put in a decent picture with info and claim they are distributors. But they fail when it comes to their telephone numbers. Lets face it any company who says they have over 1 million dollars in sales every year must have a contact number with customer service, not a fake mobile number!!!!

Be careful out there, make sure you do your homework and at least call every distributor you are interested in and/or get a sample.

I had a lucky escape when I transferred some money from my bank, as my bank recalled my payment and are investigating that particular distributor. By the way his account was disabled.

How do you know the NZ ones are fake? Due to the hologram?

So you have been scammed. be careful when you order goods from abroad. not only from Indonesia but any country out there.
Maybe the GHD was imported by the Indonesian company from other country counterfeit manufacturer. As far as i know China product mostly being imported. I am not saying this in negative expression. there are reason why people make counterfeit or as similar product. one of them is.. so poor country can have what the rich country could have. So it has its own market, even it's fake, second or third grade quality.
Too much production cost if the manufacturer is 100% Indonesian, but not all of them, there still other top quality manufacturer, otherwise a foreign investment involved.

Please note that our products are shipped directly in to the UK and then distributed through authorised channels. On this basis if you are offered any ghd products for import from overseas then it is more than likely that it will be a scam or alternatively you may be being offered inferior counterfeit products which will not have been subject to the rigorous safety tests that we apply to our products. Moreover the sale of counterfeit products can attract criminal penalties.

I have purchased a pair of the pink MK4 GHD's and since then did some research on the net, as I could not register them, then finding out they were fake. Just so you know, GHD will only sell their straightners to authorised salons. They do not sell them in bulk to Asian wholesalers. So getting them anywhere else will not be safe.

They're fake. try selling them on Ebay and you will for sure get kicked off and they will tell you they are fake. They keep a watch on these products. I recently bought chi's and GHD and were told they were all fakes. Even though they all looked very real.

I purchased 100 from china manufacturer (Osenyuan Trading Co.)and now don't know what to do with them. Any ideas. I really don't know what to do with them.
