| Replying to [jooooooy7]:I object to the words..'Wanna'..&...'Gotta'..( for beginners..at least ) these are slang words....and should be spoken as ''Want to''..& ''Got to''..for beginners..Sorry, to barge in. Regards / AdseaCo I object to the words, "wanna" and "gotta" (for beginners, at least). These are slang words and should be spoken as, "want to" and "have to," for beginners. Sorry to barge in. Barge on in! Spoken language has differences from written language. Beginners should know the difference between these two levels and how to use them. Slang and casual uses have their place. In spoken language "going to" and "want to" often sound stiff. But in writing business letters, you gotta use 'em. |
Not bad. (No space before the comma, please.)The idiomatic expression is, "practice makes perfect." You might also say, "Let's practice and make it perfect," or, "Let us practice and make it perfect," or "Let's practice and let's make it perfect." There are many right ways to say just about the same thing, and many many many ways to say the wrong thing. |
| Replying to [Professor Carl]:HELLO PROF WHAT KIND BOOK AND AUDIO TO IMPROVE ENGLISH . I M, NEW IN STATE THANKS PROF Hello Professor, What kind of books and audio [do I need] to improve my English. I'm [I am] new in the States. Thanks Professor I think this is what you had in mind. There are many many sources for these things on the Internet. Watch your plural -s when needed. What all my beginner English students need is a live native English speaker to practice with. Maybe soon we can be live in real time, audio/video. |
| Replying to [Professor Carl]: hi prof . ido not have powerful english .but ithink that real business in best teacher plus the real teachers of english Hello Professor, I do not have strengths in English. I think that the business of learning English is to have the best teacher, one who is a native-English speaker. This would be close to what you wanted to say. Maybe soon we can be live in real time, audio/video. Watch the capitalization rules. |
