i have a starnge question

when i try to contact companys via trade manager and ask them them for price

they gave me a prices ddifente as when i go to guangzhou

for examplal

if i ask via trademanager  company in shanghai for underwear they tell for exampal  3 usd

but when i go to guangzhou i find the same product with 1 uds

 why?

There may be several reasons, 1. the prices you get in Canton are EXW prices, without any shipping and export clearance, 2. the traders want to make a profit (well this is normal I think, for what else would we do foreign trade).


Getting a price through TM is no way an obligatory quotation. It is always up to you if you want to negotiate about prices or not.

Hey Man, Do you meaned this two price from two different company? If so, Then I can tell you it is normal that their prices are different for different sales policy, different specification & Quality

I was assuming it is the same product at both locations. In fact there may be many-many reasons for the price difference, maybe it is the quality, it is the delivery time, maybe one of the companies is a trade company etc. Please note that in the end effect you will pay all costs, so if it is USD 1 EXW in Canton at last mayl be not cheaper than USD 2 FOB in Shanghai or Ningbo. The purchase price is only a single factor here. You have price+export clearance costs+shipping+import clearance+inland haulage.


Make a very accurate calculation to find out what will this cost for you.

I think they are producing good quality.So they offer you 3 US Dollars.You should get sample from both supplyer cheak the quality then you can choos good suplyer.You need quality or you need only cheap.Thanks B.Sultan.

Its very simple,the Shanghai company they buy the product from Guangzhou factories and resell it to you.

the first you have to chk the quality of product from the tow suppliers whether it is the same. and then you have to inquire of the suppliers which cost is included or not? the third, you have to judge which quotation is reasonable, that means some suppliers quote you wrong or very low prices for catching order, at last you will get loss since such supplier can't deliver goods in time or ask you pay extra cost. guangzhou is the base of underware collection, if you come to guangzhou again, you may contact with us at info@agentchinese.com.

Dear,I think first you should negotiate the price with them,inform them how much quantitities you want to order,them let them quote you the best price,I think this is the most important,Before you ordering,you can find more companies to quote you,and them compair their price.
