You see a buying agent is more success in area where their is big difference in the language, culture and supplier or buyer are not very comfertable with each other.
Also, where the terms and conditions are not been finalized or buyer is not able to visit supplier to confirm things.
So, I suggest you to first get associated with small supplier of India speciall one who have some speciality with them. I suggest you agro, cultural scupture, momentoes, Hand Made - Garments etc.
Then you have to build a office in the target country or at least appoint a person to visit people. Try to build rappert with the buyers.
This will help you a lot.
