I follow a simple thumb rule: I earn, you earn and don't do any business at the cost of anyone else and also the environment.

The preconditon of being an honest business man is being a cordial, reliable and honest perosn.

Being a human is hard and it is even tough to be good one.  To be a good person, you need to obey too many rules and regulations, follow too many social laws and must restricted yourself by many social/moral ethics.

In old times, the distinguishing Chinese litterateur "MengZi" told his apprentice: being a good person need to follow four elements: endure,   , modest,  I think these rules and moral ethics can also be applied to business principles.

So to be an honest businessman also need to endure what you can endure: think carefully before you make any decesion; pursuit to close the busines at a win-win solution; never cheat the customer and keep the the clients posted with all the proceedings; Provide products with best quality,never let defective products gong through your eyes and flow to customer`s hand. Reply you customer in-time and stand on your customer`s ground to consider things.

The basic rules of being a honest businessman is being a honest person!

this is really necessary to be honest if you want you business grow but you if you are being dishonest you can not be successful in long terms, some people might get success for a short time for being dishonest but in long run they will know what harm they have made being not fair with their business.
