I reported the fraud to Tradekey and they pretty much did nothing. They said I had to do my research as a buyer. I contacted them back and asked what was the point of going through their site if their "Third Party Verification" meant nothing, and they didn't even bother answering. They just gave the scammer company -20 points and as far as I know they are still listed on Tradekey website. The second company that I only did a sample order and they still scammed me and I never heard from them was guilin bingshi electric CO.LTD. Be very aware of trading on TradeKey.
I know what you mean cos today I got a phone call from a guy purporting to be from Saudi Arabia and an agent for Whizzer Motorised Bicycles. When I started asking about payment methods and proof of ID he was in a hurry to end the call. He couldn't access a quality American product like a Whizzer because they sell through sole agents only.
I was scammed on Alibaba by an Indonesian Company claiming to export Schwinn bikes and although Alibaba deactivated his site the same people are trading every day from identical sites on Alibaba. A quick look at pretty well all Indonesian sites on Alibaba claiming to offer famous American bike brands cheap are all scams. Those brands are so protected you can only get them through authorised dealerships via sole importers and there is no way Schwinn, Trek, Cannondale or any of the high end brands are available in bulk from any Indonesian exporter. I found this out the hard way by losing a lot of money.
Basically most of Asia, certainly Indonesia, Russia and all the former Eastern Block countries and all of Africa are sites that are just too risky to ever consider doing any business with unless its C.O.D. That is the ONLY acceptable way to pay for products from these countries because of their truly appalling record for dishonesty.
There isn't much Alibaba can do because they allow these sites to post their wares on the Alibaba forum with very little verification. Until Alibaba tightens up on its security I wouldn't recommend using them. They haven't even begun to own their part in these scams and their excuses about the difficulty of verifying traders identities just doesn't cut the mustard. They are probably hosting scam sites that steal countless millions of dollars from people every month. I ask for so much stuff now from Alibaba traders that they very quickly abandon me which goes to show that they were scamming to begin with.
You don't have to be a genious to know that most of these obscure traders would never be able to get hold of the well known brands they pretend to be offering.

Do not buy from anyone on tradekey.com that online company is set up to scam everyone and anyone. I beleave thy are the scammers setting up so called businesses to buy from. You send tradekey emails and thy dont even answer the questions asked there betting around the bush. tradekey is a RED FLAG for taking your money and never here back once thy have your money. I beleave tradekey is out of china to take your money. Thy should be band from the internet and sent to jail. we should sent a nuk to china and blow the off the earth

Your posting gives me a feeling that you work for competitors of tradekey.com. Alibaba is no different, infact i guess there are more scammers on Alibaba than anyother B2B websites for import export. If you dont use your logic and choose your trading partner without doing any research you will get scammed every where. Think!!!!!!

one of the best choice is choose the supplier which they are gold supplier no less than 2 years, in alibaba, and tradekey, it will be safe.

Honestly, if you live in the USA, do business there. It may be more expensive, but we protect our own. Doing business in China is a disaster, and they will swear on their own children that they are honest, THEY ARE NOT, AND IF THEY ARE HONEST, THEIR DEALS AREN'T ANY BETTER THAN DOING BUSINESS FROM AMERICA.
I was ripped off 3 times, and those scums can have that money, because in the end, they will lose, carma will get them. Meanwhile, I will search America for great deals, their has to be one.

The first thing I did when I got the sales pitch from the trader was to google Tradekey and find out what people like you have gone through, I would never send money to anyone unless I've veryfied their business and gotten confirmation that it's safe. I am supprised that after your first failure, you did a second trade with this outfit.
