yes I could't agree with more, I happen to me to I think most ALI BABA trade key members are scammers and ALI BABA SHOULD be responsable for our losess, i send money to a company name HOOKAHBUS@YAHOO after they took the money i did not hear from them , trade key and ali boba they should protuct the international buyers and creat an ascrow account when we get the product they release the money th the seller, ihave all the information for the scammer if any one can help me to stop him from doing it to other people .
I am a Silver Key member and have been for years. I have been doing business Internationally for over 25 years. (Sugar, Urea, OIL, Copper, Cement, etc.)
I use TradeKey for initial contacts many of whom I eliminate after the first contact.
I do not know what experience you have in dealing with international cultures, but you might want to consider that some business cultures believe that if they can get something for nothing from you, they are not being unethical but smarter business persons.
There are business people that take advantage of those who appear to be ignorant for their own gain. You have to have a feeling that a deal is wrong and have the fortitude to walk away before you invest too much of yourself and your resources into it. This comes from experience such as, never pay for anything in International Commerce except through a Bank Letter of Credit. Don’t know about BLC and how it works, then you should not be in the Trading Business.

I am from the Bahamas and I did some business with merchants on the www.tradekey.com website also. The first company that I did business with was called Fashion Mart (http://www.fashion-mart.com.cn/). That was some time in November 2007 . The sales person that handled the order for me was someone named Christy. When I sent the order, she lied to me and said that EMS did not ship to the Bahamas. I followed up with an inquiry to EMS myself, and I found out that they do ship to the Bahamas. I approached Christy about it, and she admitted that she lied because it was expensive to ship to the Bahamas. As a result, I told Christy to take the package to DHL , and DHL would send the package to the Bahamas at my expense. She then, informed me that her boss didn't think that DHL shipped to the Bahamas. It took some time for DHL to get in touch with Christie and her boss (Jennifer). When the DHL representative called to pick up the package, Christie and Jennifer botth denied that they ever had a package for me. They told the DHL representative that they did not know what I was talking about even though the DHL representative had proof of payment for the goods.
There is a heading on the www.tradekey.com home page. It says "Report Fraud." I clicked there and sent the Trade Key representatives an e-mail on Fashion Mart's fraudulent transaction with me, and all they did was point me to a section of the website that requires you to join up (as a paying memeber) before you can give negatives against the rating of merchants. Fashion Mart is still listed on the Trade Key website. Not all of the merchants on that website are fraudulent, but I do agree with you on the point that they do nothing to eliminate the fraud from their website. After all, Fashion Mart is a Gold Key member.

yes I got scammed 2 times there too. Tradekey wrote me to give the company bad feedback and they still selling out there. Tradekey doesn't do anything to stop those scammers these site should be taking down by the FBI.

Yes I have also had two bad experiences with Trade Key members -silver ones at that!
They portray themselves as large scale manufacturers but they sre nothing more than some hole in the wall operation out to scam people.In the first instance I got a reply from Trade Key after a prolonged delay with an assurance that they would check and get back -- that is still to come.I stopped the transaction just in time and lost nothing but one does really have to be careful.The ones who answer a buyers ad are all touts and agents even though they portray themselves as owners or certified employees. with fancy titles And always remember you only get what you pay for and for what you pay you cannot expect to get anything other than junk.The only way one can deal with China is by posting a rep there for product inspection and even then in some cases the end result is just junk.
This problem is not highlighted here because buyers just discard the item for want of time to pursue the matter and they know that and take full advantage of that loop hole
The last experience was with KOOTIEN TECHNOLOGY CO.LTD. The initial information about the product was just a hoax and lies and now the guy does not answer.Not much of a loss but something to be careful about.
On the other hand this never happens with Ali Baba Menbers and dealings with them have always been above board.

Why did you send money in advance? For shopping you should visit e-bay and check if they have pay pal status or not. Anyway, thanx for the news.
