Market of Sexy Lingerie

I do not know this kind of product until one of my friend working in this kind of company. Why? as it is a product that seldom been seen in our life and usually only be weared in a bedroom.

Sexy lingerie has developed for several years, but it is not running a good market until the last two years, what Chinese factories manufacturing is all for overseas orders only. Such like in China, the market looks have not been opened for this product, and we can not find any seller in most of the garment markets here.

Now, sharing with us your opinion for the coming market in year 2009.

That is just fashion, it goes in cycles, and it is always cultural.


People are the market targets, and the fashion has to identify cultural trends, which is also dynamic, ever changing. Much has to depend on money and the Hierarchy of needs.


We studied in Marketing School, that man has 5 levels of their needs.

  • The basic level is the Surrvival need, (physiological need) where man need to live, food and water, oxygen, and a pl.ace to lay his head and sex.
  • Safety and security, like job security, safety of the home, health and welfare. Future requirements of resources, morality and property.
  • Status need, belongings, love and friendships, family and sexual intimacy
  • Self Esteem, confidence, achievements, respect of others and by others.
  • Self-Actualization Morality, creativity, problem solving, decision making, and confidence.

China has come to the next level of this ladder, and has grown to be more concious of the finer things of life, such as the appreciation of Classical Music, Arts and culture. And people has become more affluent, with greater spending power, higher earnings per capital, and search for better lifestyle and fashion wear.


Those in the fashion industry identify the needs, as pertaining to the culture. Some influence from the West, like the Hollywood flim stars, or the Celebrities and powerful persons. In America, the women will show off their most valuable assets, which is the breasts to public, and would wear bras that are enhancing these assets as much as possible. This creates an opportunity for the lingerie industry.


Others who watch these ladies over the television, or Internet relates the show of their assets to the level of success the woman has over their men, and they want to copy. Women of the old culture become a thing of the past, if they are not wearing the latest design bra or underwear. So comes the G-Strings to replace the Bikini and the half cups to replace the full cups.

well, our grandfathers and ancestors didn't need any lingeries or accessories to arouse them. To them a long turkish bath taken by our grandmothers plus some hinna to color their hair, palms and feet and a touch of rose water plus some home made creams from the local grocer was quite enough to do the trick. this only goes to prove how our tastes and preverstions are shaped by the media whence we, from adolesence are continously exposed  to figures of beautiful women in lingerie and other bedroom accessories. 

This only goes to prove how big a role the media play in shaping our tastes and indeed our opinions.  

Maybe Chinese men still do not need any accessories yet. therefore their lack of interest in sexy lingerie .[em3]

 I don't know of anything, such as clothes or non-living things that can be sexy.

I also learned that some creatures in nature do not need to be sexy, they are bi-sexual, that is they do not need to attract the opposite sex to reproduce.

So, should I conclude that material things are A-Sexual, in fact for the Lingerie, the lesser it is, the more revealing the person wearing it. Since the invention of the Bikini, the lesser amount of material that goes into the making of the clothes, the better attraction, i.e. the more sexy to the wearer. Might as well not wear anything.

Someone mentioned the G-String, yes there was a group of dancers from France called the Crazy Horse, they have nothing on them except their G-strings, and a top hat perhaps. I wonder if this G-string could be cheaper than the conventional panties, because it uses so much lesser material. I also wonder why they call themselves "Crazy Horse" when all of them are women, should be Crazy Mares. Maybe it is because they turn the men on to become Crazy Horses. [em2]
