Real sellers that can extend a yard inspection with contracts signed at yard and can accept a non-transferable L/C would be even better.

1) We have a HMS-1 buyer in India whom we directly wanted to sell from US seller as a broker.The buyer wants to open a LC but now we thought of starting our own Import/Export company so that we can buy locally from US based seller and then sell to our Indian contact.Do you recommend starting our own Import/Export company or not?

2) What are the requirements to start an import/export company in USA?

Please advise at your earliest convenience.

We have done the export deal once and find that the Indian government has very strict regulations on scrap importation. We attempted to export the scrap again to India but we are finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the import regulations, specifically the pre-shipment inspection required by the Indian government.

1. Do i need to have any license in USA to start exporting.I heard the term verified buyer on suppliers post.What does that mean?
