Hundreds of thousands of Chinese going home for the New Year Eve Dinner
Post 1 of 3
The migration has already started last Monday, many factories shut 1 week ahead of the official Chinese New Year holidays and 1 week after.

This is good news for the working Chinese whose homes are hundreds of kilometers away, and train rides are fully packed. The lesson learned from last year's heavy snowfall, which left many stranded in their working place and cities, and missed their most important family reunion dinner together.

There is a new twist to this year's story, thanks to the mobile phone camera, a train ticket seller was caught on video hoarding the tickets and ignoring the crowd in queue wanting to buy the tickets. She was holding them to sell to black-market gangs, who will block-purchase a large number of tickets at a commission price to the seller, and resell them to the people at a jack-up price, profiteering. The Government will be investigating on this ticketing corruption case, and many heads will roll. Most importantly, the system should not be corrupted, and people can find their way home at the normal price they will be paying for.

If they were to ask me, I suggest to sell the tickets online, over the Internet and the money be paid through the system by Cash Card transaction or bank transfer or by Credit Card.

As long as there are greedy people around, the system will corrupt.

This happens everywhere, even in the United States of America, where corrupted person/s get away with billions of US Dollars.

However, the Chinese authorities are very strict to keep the law and uphold the integrity of the civil servants and the private sectors. Tainted milk case, the cover-up of the bird-flu virus, and from time to time, cases of corruption crop up, but the Government is sure to investigate and bring those criminals to justice.
