Human Behaviour ???
Post 1 of 14
There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her,” now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears and later wrote a letter to her saying. “JUST TAKE CARE OF MY EYES PLEASE”.

This is how humans change when their status changes. Only few remember what life was before and who has always been there in the most painful situations.

Thanks dear VIJAY, for your details in depicting human behaviours.
Your story is very true, and proves to my opinion that about 90% of human being act with lots of inconsistency: lack of self confidence, lack of self recognition, and a total divorce between "what they strongly believe in" and "what they do".

On the other hand with this story, I personaly experience the wisdom stating that "You attract who you are". [em2][em2][em12]

Yes I agree. I would like to put it like this - people always do as per their very nature and in which they strongly believe in but some of them pretend to be a different, outwardly. "They speak what you like, but they do what they like". This is life. Everyone has his own outlook towards life.

Replying to [Angella]: Here the question is not who did wrong - boy or girl. The broader aspect or the message of the story is to highlight the people's behaviours in reality.

The boy was not blind since birth as the story reveals. He became blind after donating his eyes to the girl. Can't a person scribble a few lines on a piece of paper if he is literate person while keeping his eyes closed. It could be just like that. You can also try the same and then feel if it is possible or not. But as I feel, this is not important to know how he wrote. Important point here is to understand the innocence of his feelings for her beloved that even after getting rejected by her, he had no complaints against her.

Gist of the story as I could undersatnd is to indicate boy's innocent love and affection and girl's practical approach towards life. It could be vice-versa also.

Replying to [vshanker]: Dear Mr. Shanker, many innocent, naive and impulsive people would do as the boy did. I think the intention is good but they put their fate on others hands, at other's mercy.

I have been through all these myself, still I believe in true love. However I'd like to say the following:
- Falling in love but do not lose yourself.
- The quickest way to lose love is holding it too tight. Give rooms to your significant someone and to yourself.

Maintaining happy and healthy relationship is an art.

Best wishes,
Moolan

One may call it in whatever manner but it is a real fact that "True love" does not consider worldly material gains or losses. If someone considers all this, then it is not love but is mere a "calculation" of gains, compromises etc. etc. It would be wrong to name such calculations as "love".

It is also said by some philospher that "All love that has not friendship (in true sense) for its base, Is like a mansion built upon the sand."

Replying to [curdrice]: Thanks for your appreciation.

I think you are right when you say we cannot blame all due to some who believe in humanism ( a libral human values based on non-religious philosophy).
