I've seen the really long list of scammers out there, but not a single company that someone really bought from.
Is there any kind of list with cheap/good suppliers that really ships the goods to you?
The things i'm mostly looking for is cheap laptops and/or cheap mobile phones.

A very wise request and without having one there is no incentive or need to do business at all. The world would be a terrible place if mega corporations were constantly at trade disputes and being defrauded all the time, just imagine constant lawsuits and consumers would always lose out, they may even have to starve and go without all non essential commodities.

I AGREE 1000% WITH YOU WE NEED A WHITELIST BECAUSE IT WILL BE A VERY SMALL SHORTLIST OF HONEST COMPANIES WITH HIGHEST STANDARDS.

HAVING A SCAM LIST IS NONESENSE AND ENDLESS EVEN THOUGH IT PROTECTS SOME IT FAILS MORE BECAUSE THE SCAMMERS SETUP NEW NAMES AND CONTINUE AS NORMAL.

The reason why there is no whitelist?

Could it be because traders want to limit competition? There is a huge market place though.

Could it be that there are no legitimate companies on here selling high end consumer products that are not fake?

It only makes sense a whitelist is made, it is much more simple to keep track of and keep updated and easier for buyers and sellers - very much beneficial to both parties. - Excluding scammers/criminals.

I guess your request make sense, but I believe it wll be difficult to realize that build such a list could be possible.
For me to identify good buyers, will cost me dearly, I may have lost some money to scammers, migh have travel to the country where the supplier is to verify credential. In summary it is costly to find out a good supplier. Now you are asking me to share that info for free with all the audience. I have to think it clearly for a while, while I like to share, this sharing could backfire to me badly.
Note that I may have invested dearly in finding this supplier, at least I need to recover my expenses. I need to think about me first before I could think about others.
But still keeping to myself that supplier give me an advantage over competition and don't want to lose that edge for the sake of building a white list. I don't think this concpet could be achievable.

The first rule in search of the reliable seller:

The seller having own Internet shop, for example as www.mall-ebay.com
Should have email, for example support@mail-ebay.com.
If contact email - yahoo or gmail or other free-of-charge mail - that this seller the swindler!!

Im more then happy to say that i purchased reversible singlets and hoodies from a company called Brumby Biz from pakistan. I was dealing through a person called Qaiser and even though there has been problems with war/bombings over there he was constantly in contact with me, met the needs of my order and there was a problem with a few of the tops he replaced no problems after i showed him what was wrong with them.

It was a great company to deal with for clothing and the quality and price of their work is aboslutely great!

Sorry Vicente, but thats part of the problem in many ways in busines and with regards to people - everybody wants something - the mere fact of sharing your "VALUABLE INFO" in order for someone to gain hurts and believe it not i can understand because i have been party to that too.

However, if only we thought of acting otherwise, i wonder to myself what a difference that would make in business and in fellow human beings - please no offence to you

The things i'm mostly looking for is cheap laptops and/or cheap mobile phones.

I can see why you would be interested in having a list of creditable suplier/customer. Speaking from a supplier point of view, we sometime find ourself not informing our potenial about our product, but we have find a way to convince them that we are not scammer.

Working for a creditable company (Singbee Lighting, sorry we do not sell laptops or mobile phones we speaicalise in LED lighting).  I normally provide information to our cilent of our location and encourage them to come and see us.

This way not only you can see that we do have a factory in China, we can also show you our production as well as we have a face to face discuession about our co-operation.

So maybe you can ask your potenail supplier of where their factory is located and ask them to invite to you their factory (or office in case of trading companies).

At the same time, you can use the tool in Alibaba, a company such as ourself have invested in our website in Alibaba. Allowing us include a company video showing our factory and offices.

However, despite the above, I believe the best way is speak to you potential suppliers and get to know them better. As at the end of the day both of us just want a successful co-operation so we can have mutal benfite, and know each better is a strong foundation of a long term successful relationship

I hope the above will able to assist you.

Whitelist would be great but it would have been frustrating if you need to check it out all the time.

Suggestion could be that come out with a credibility bar which tagged along our name. If there users is good suppliers then he would have a high score(E.g. 1 - Bad, 5 - Excellent), something like the scoring system being used in Ebay. The scoring systems would be determined by the website users where any complain log would reduce the supplier credibility unless they could provide sufficient evidence to support their own claim.

It would have been much help compare with the current "gold supplier" and "trustpass supplier" which could be BOUGHT without any verifications.
