Middle Men

Hello
As my company is not yet able to take huge orders that a factory would require. I'm looking for a middle trader preferably from china who can supply me with LCD TVs to begin with and then in the future other electrical devices for the Australian market. How do i go about finding such people and ensuring that they are trustworthy?

Are you looking for a trading company or a sourcing or purchasing agent in China? I'm the moderator in this forum. I can source and verify 1-2 LCD TV manufacturer here in China for you for the first time. Please tell me your detailed buying information first. Good luck!

If your order is very small, you may have to buy from a trading company in China because normally real factories have a minimum order requirement in China. A trading company is your direct business parnter in this case. If your order is very large, you may buy directly from a factory. A purchasing agent is your personal business assistant in China, they will protect your interests at our end in China. A successful international trade contains too many factors as you know.

There are many factories that would like your order, sure some want large min orders but this is not set in stone.
The trading company will deal with many suppliers/factroies but will depend on their deal with them how many orders they make, this effects their prices and min orders,
If you choose a good trade co that are very busy this would help you and your business.

Thanks for your help so far, I would be very interested in contacting any trading companies you could recommend. I would be much obliged if you could give me some contact information for them. They would have to be able to provide LCD TVs for the Australian market and if at all possible be willing to accept an L/C. Thanks for your time.

Just some info that might save you some time.
You might find a few hurdles importing into Australia , like Australian plugs - you will not find many factory that have the plugs. Even if they Australian power plugs ( they kinda similar to some of the chinese ones ) , they won't likely to be SAA safety certified, that means the bottom of metal plug have plastic coating.
There is also the C tick requirement - that means EMC testing from a lab, that means $2000 per model. That means if you are only importing a couple of hundred units - you won't be making much of a profit.
All thse to help you in your search, I hope you find wat you are looking for. Australia has a problem, it a small country , with a small pupolation with some fairly pesky regulations on emc and safety. It makes importing so much harder if you go strcitly by the book.
