Replying to [evalin]: The only people that buy fakes, are those that think they are getting the real thing and have no clue what they are really buying until it comes time to have it repaired or need some technical advice about the product.

However there are two disctinct differences no one has mentioned before.
1. All copies are inferior to the orginal, and copy electronics are notoriously worse...especially coming from China where there are already issues galore in the manufacturing of electronics. Certainly they've come a long way, but they still have a long way to go. I'll take American, Japanese, German, and Taiwanese electronics, in that order, over Chinese any day of the week and twice on Mondays.
2. No one mentioned the gaping differences between the two phones.
a.The orignal is manufactured to work with Cingular (US based gsm) technology. The copy... supposedly any gsm. Cross your fingers.
b. Iphone comes in 4gb or 8gb sizes. Copy only 1 gb
c. The original comes with full software, upgrades, and support for 2 years. The copy w/software that may or may not work, and you'll get laughed at if you try to ask for support.
d. The original comes with full 24/7 tech support, the copy person selling the product will hound you to death until you buy it, then you'll never hear from them again as they laugh all the way to the bank.
e. One comes with a matching EIN number that will match with the Cingular database and the other you will have to hold your breath and hope that you can register the phone.
f. One works as a complete multimedia, web based application and phone. The copy will barely be able to do half the functions.
In essence, the copy iphone is a bad version of a ipod.
Know...knowing all the facts, does it make prudent business sense to sell a copy that is is so wholly inefficient from the original? If you think it's a good investment, I'm selling magic healing roock that, once hit upside your head, will cause you to magically become smarter than you already are. Whose interested?
