[em1][em1] I've been to many cities and places of interests in China so far as a tourism fan in China. Among all the places of interests in China, I think Zhangjiajie is the best tourism destination, I will go to Zhangjiajie again this year maybe. It's really attractive in my eyes. Please have a look at its pictures online:

Located at the conjunction of the bulge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the decline part of the huge Dongting Lake, Zhangjiajie is blessed with spectacular natural scenery. There are a total of over 300 scenic spots in the city, of which Wulingyuan Scenic Area is the most expansive and fantastic. It is composed of the first national forest park of China, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park , two nature reserves Tianzi Mountain and Suoxi Valley, and the new Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Here you'll find yourself with hundreds of rare quartzite hills and valleys, along with streams, waterfalls, springs, lakes, caves and towering trees. Hundreds of rare and valuable animals and plants also share its habitat here. The area is said to have the elegance of Guilin , the wonder of Mt. Huangshan , the steepness of Mt. Huasha and the grandness of Mt. Taishan . The spot has been listed in the World Heritage List.

With a pleasing climate, it is full of charm throughout the year. In the spring the city is inundated with a sea of flowers and greenness. When the insufferable summer arrives, the city provides a good spot to retreat from the heat and enjoy relaxing. At autumn harvest time, the beautiful fruits and joyful activities present varied surprises. The slumber of winter is a perfect time to appreciate silver snows and plum blossoms.

In addition, Zhangjiajie is a historical and cultural land that worth exploring. The major cultural attractions here include: the Buddhist Puguang Temple, the biggest grottoes of Hunan, Yuhuang Cave, the Former Residence of Marshal Helong and other revolutionary memorial spots. Zhangjiajie is also a perfect destination to appreciate the splendid culture of Chinese minorities. The minorities here include Tujia, Bai, Miao, Hui, Manchu, Dong, and Yao among others, which make up almost half of the population. The various folk singing, dancing, operas, Wushu (Martial Arts), marriage customs, and colorful festivals are guaranteed to leave you a lasting memory if you're lucky enough to encounter one. Delicious food is always wonderful addition to any trip. The most famous food here is Tujia cuisine, which focuses on spicy, tart, preserved and pickled tastes. There are also many local products here, such as kiwi fruit, various teas, mushrooms and preserved hams.

I'm not promoting this place in China, I'm just telling you the truth. I'm proud of being a Hunanese when coming to Zhangjiajie. [em1][em1]
