Import duty is seperate from VAT, it is an additional levy charged by European Governments for goods taht originate from outside Europe. Duty cannot be reclaimed back like with VAT.
The rate of duty will differ depending on what items you bring. They can range from 3% to 40% of the value of your invoice.
So when you are quoted FOB prices, you have to add on top, freight charges (which is usually to a shipping port or airport), import duty, anti dumping (if applicable), other local import charges (if applicable), customs clearance, delivery to your door and VAT.
