A supplier has requested T/T, Western Union Payment.  As this form of payment is essentially cash how reliable is it that I will actually receive product?  Are the suppliers monitored for scams?

Western Union and T/T to a personal bank acc. is the preferred payment method of scammers, for two reasons, one is they have no real companies, second, this way your payment cannot be traced. Therefore I seriously advise you to leave ANY "supplier" demanding you to pay by WU. WU is used by private persons to send money to each other, it is not a payment used by companies.


Additionally, if you are looking for any branded article for cheap, give it up right now, the best that can happen to you is that you receive a box with cheap fakes or refurbished goods - and this is the best scenario.

If your supplier is seriously. you can use this payment.

Now western union, they have a good system, only the receiver shows the control number and the person's IDENTITY CARD, some people call it PASS PORT. they can get the money.

If you were cheated by them, you can found them through the IDENTITY CARD , and ask your money back.

In fact , Western union is very easy to operae. it can give the buyer and the seller more convenient.

In another way, you also have the way to trace your money bank , find the person directly. i believe the police they will treat such scammer "well"

I believe most of the seller they would like to do business for a long term, but not only one business. as long term cooperation , they can have more benefits ,compared to one deal. stupid person, only do one-time business.

i'm from usa too and i found, seriouse seller are in UK. i made payments trough western union and is a safe service, yes, that guy have right " western union is not a sample service, is a safe one, because for make and receive an payment, that counter man, western union agent ask the guy, proof if it's the right.

i made payments trough western union and all time i win, not lose.

more, i was cheat trough www.paypal.com and trough T/T by chinese.

be carfuly with Chinese. these are artist scammers, not kids.

Hello,In my opinion, it's possible if the value is not too much. because pay the money to company account have to pay government tax,that's will be not cost-efficient  . if the large value,should be pay to company.

It all depends! If the supplier is serious,mutual-trust built up between you two.Surely you can accept WU payment.

Actually,my client John accepted Western Union payment when he bought 20 pcs of music pillows from us.Before he placed this sample order,we've contacted for more than 5 months ,and hundreds of letters made between us.Yeah,he really has some risks in this deal,but we are serious supplier.20pcs iPillows sent to him on payment arrival.

In a word,not all suppliers requested WU payment are scammers! You need to make factory evaluation first,then decide whether to buy from this supplier or turn to others.GOOD LUCK!

yes you can use western union ! coz. it gives both ease to buyer and supplier but you should

firstly, pay via western union only i you are paying for sample but if it is production then leave it directly use comapy name bank transfer ( wire transfer)

secondly, if you are buying any kinds of electrical products such as mobile phones laptops and supplier is saying to give you at very cheaper prices and that too original branded products then leave it directly 

thirdly , if your amount is more than 300 $  (usd ) then you must go for a bank wire instead of western union

In My opinion, It is okay to use the Western union Payment which has the mutual benifit , Especially when customers place the sample order with small sum of payment ( for example less than 1000USD) , I don't think there are scammers becuase when the recieve take the payment it needs the True name and Identication , if he or she wanna eat up the money , the police won't let them go since the police can find him or her with with its identification

another benefit is the speed of the payment, payment can be arrived in 10 minutes it was told, in this way the factory won't delay the preparation of the samples, Since the prodution will begin unitll the producer receive the payment ( It takes almost 3 days when we receive the payment via company banking service)    So it won't waste time for both parties ,  Last , i have to remind the buyers that Western Union payment is generally used for the Samples which the value is a small sum of money , although we have received 5 Thousand WU payment before, IT is good for us to reduce the Tax and Banking service Fee, SInce The Bank will Charge its Service Fee when customer transfer to our Company Bank

lastly , If the supplier is Gold supllier or has past the TrustPass It will be much more safer, anyway It is strongly suggest that Using company Banking Unless your samples is urgent and payment is very few :)

i think you got bias for some chinese, we usually do buziness with T/T payment, and we absolutely honesty to send precise products to customers. We got really good reputation through buziness. The point is who are you met in the buziness. If your partner is a scammer real, you may be cheated. So, you should choose a right company to do buziness. OK? Wish you good luch.

check with your supplier firstly. and somethims there has some troublesome when pay to company account. in fact company account in some field is same as personal account.

and which will be more troublesome then personal account. pay to company account , it needs to pay for a lot taxes and lots bank fees. . and spend much more time. so that's need us to check firstly.
