I want to discuss this topic with all of you. Why always buyer's want's to be on the safe side by asking the supplier to send good's first and then he/she will pay or release the payment. Why always buyer act as a ruler in business deal's? Why can't the supplier be the ruler?

Too many buyers have been stolen from.

There is a Korean by the name of Steve Kim who said his company is Daekwang Corp. He took $4,000usd from me. He took $17,000usd from another American and $3000 from a buyer in Australia.

We all paid for the goods first and he did not send them. He is now not responding to our emails but is still out there trying to take money from others.

What is wrong with a buyer requesting the products be sent cash on delivery? We do not then have to worry about being stolen from and the seller gets their money before the buyer can take the goods.

The fact that such a question was even posted shows a lack of international business knowledge. The most successful business' understand thier customers. Those who think business in done in the same way around the world trully do not understand business tactics. It is very common (usually expected) to receive good prior to payment. Net 30,60,90 is a very common in Western business method. If a company has a good credit rating, it is because they do pay thier bills. Allowing your customer to pay the balance does 2 very important things.
1st -It shows trust between buyer and seller (great for future business)
2nd- It allows the buyer a margin of safety in case of defective products.
If a factory is stable and has a good cash flow, it often means it has a good product.
But when a factory shows how much it worries even small amounts of money, it is a sign that the factory is not very stable. If the buyer has a good credit rating, and the factory has quality products there should be no problems. But if the factory knows its products are not good it will always demand payment upfront.

I am currently living in China and I meet many foreign business people, the distruss begins as soon as they get off the plane. For example, I went to buy a coca-cola,price-4yuan. my Chinese friend walked over said nothing, bought one 2.5yuan. Infact, EVERY item we looked to buy had the same results. Also many foreign buyers today DO speak Chinese very well, but pretend not to. Some such buyers went with a translator just to see how honest everything was. ALL heard the factories try to make a deal with the translator to make the price higher and the translator would get a percent.

I have never asked for cod but I would think with deposit that would work .
I am just now starting to use dep + net 30 and for me I find that works very well

It is usual for a buyer to be insecure at first with a new seller . It takes a few orders to build trust and confidence .

But the post above speaks volumes I have a friend in china that ocationaly have make calls for me to get quate info and be sure I am not being over charged on shipping
