Hi,

Our company issued the purchasing order with the trade term : FCA Hong Kong when we purchase the goods from the company in HK. However, the trade term in supplier's invoice CIF HK. I queried them about this matter. They said that they arranged the cargo to our W/H, before the cargo arrive our W/H all expenses (including C- Cost, I-insurance, F- freight charge), they will pay. But after the cargo froms our W/H to our country, they will charge. It's right. That's the meaning of CIF HK. Maybe CIF HK & FCA HK is same meaning, but just difference words.
However, I feel to confuse this argument.
Plz kindly help me elaborate this matter,

Thank you for your support in advance,

CIF and FOB (FCA) terms are interchangeable to some extent. In American use FOB destination port means basically CIF destination port, maybe your partner is using US terminology.

We will get involved in the difficulty for custom decalration
? When CIF HK was available in the supplier's invoice, meanwhile our trade term in our pusrchasing order was FCA HK.
CIF HK is destination port, but we is in Vietnam. If our supplier use CIF HK (USA terminology), some troubles will be occured,

I see. I think now the best is to ask for a new invoice with the preferred delivery term.
