Current iPhone prices for various models
Post 1 of 54

I just talked with someone looking for iPhones and wanted to share wha is available for purchase today and the prices at which these phones sell for from legitimate suppliers.  Note that these prices reflect the purchase of multiple pieces, usually a lot of 100 pieces.

iPhone 3G

     8gb $517-623 per unit.

   16gb $717-739 per unit

So this should all tell us that when someone contacts you and says they have the iPhone 3G for $350 you should now know that they are a scammer.

I want to also keep this post current so I will be checking around for the latest prices from only legitimate suppliers and adding to my post.  The above prices were obviously current on the date of the original post.

Jan. 14, 2009

3G 8gb $510

3G 16gb $701

Also i would like to add that thoe who say after they have searched for 4 months and finally they have found a real iPhone seller all you need to do is contact them.  When you contact them they will say one of two things.

1) I cannot give you the supplier's name but I will sell it to you.

2) I cannot give you the supplier's name but I can order phones for you just wire me the money.

Both are a scam.  I have given the users of this forum over a dozen legitimate sources from all around the world, including those that sell iPhones.

 Thank you,

Glenn

Yes these are more or less  the current market prices around. Think we need to explain to the inexperienced people about Iphones.

People may think why such high prices when you can buy 8gb for 199 and 16gb for 299 on Apple .com. They dont realise that the Operators  like AT&T , O2 etc., need to pay Apple some percantage of the subscription fees. Hence the 2 year contract price has been added on to the unit price before being offered to wholesalers/traders.

Also the Foreign Currency exchange plays a crucial part on the prices in the market. I have bought stocks from UK, Italy, Australia etc., and all prices varies from time to time due to currency fluctuations and also availability/demand.

People should also read more news about these products. Think it was during the release of the 2g Iphones,  Apple did mention that something like 4-5 million Iphones were sold but only about 3 million or so were activated. So where did the rest go? They went to countries where Iphones were not released yet Like China/Europe and so on at a much higher price.

And in China right now these Iphones are selling for over $700 for 8gb and $900 for 16gb Iphones in the retail market as they are not yet officially released there. These Iphones are being smuggled into China. So HOW CAN YOU BUY IPHONES from China for such a low and unbelievable price?

I am from Hong Kong and am dealing with Branded Electronics and Mobile Phones. And just do yourselves a favour and stop looking for Branded Electronics From China.

We sell lots of things to China (they are smuggled into  China). By the way i am not a smuggler but just a legit trader dealing in BRANDED Electronics in Hong Kong. The China customers pays cash and picks up the stocks. Whatever they do with the goods is not my problem after the transaction.

Our company belongs to a few trade groups where you have to prove your legitimacy in order to join.  Further most of these groups have a form of "feedback" system just in case.  I share some of the prices to help individuals on this forum from being scammed by criminals.  Also when I started in this industry there were not any sites on the net where you could learn the pitfalls.

Hello,

My name is Micheal and I'm Hong Kong now for almost  2 months searching for a real supplier which I have now found.

This is how it works:

We put the buyer in direct contact with the dealer

With us you don't have to sign any NCND because I know it's nothing worth.

Apple iPhone 3G 8GB [Neverlocked] EU Specifications:Part NR MB489T/A 490 USD

Apple iPhone 3G 16GB [Neverlocked] EU Specifications:Part NR MB486T/A 570 USD

PAYMENT TERMS: Letter of Credit [non-negotiable]

MINIMUM ORDER: 1,000 UNITS

MAXIMUM ORDER: 10,000 UNITS [MONTHLY]

LEAD TIME: 8 - 10 BUSINESS DAYS. [all units are made to order]

SHIPPED WORLDWIDE [CIF] via Hellmann International airfreight. http://www.hellmann.net

ALL PRICES ARE SHIPPING INCLUSIVE!!!

The reason for our dealer using an L/C is that the iPhones will be orderd by the L/C so the seller is sure that the buyer will buy these iPhones. They iPhones will be shipped trhough Hellmann worldwide for pickup.

In this transaction they buyer from the iPhones has to take care of the commissions of the brokers.

Please give us a cal on +852 6684 1756 if  you have any more questions.

So if iPhones are selling wholesale for $500-700 how are you supposed to turn a profit? No one is going to pay $800 for one. On ebay the 16GB is only selling for $670. There have to be distributors selling the phones for less money.

It is no secret that those who can purchase large quantities of iPhones, 100+ units are some of the ones selling on eBay.  So if you cannot buy that many units you have no business selling on eBay.  Period.  Also eBay is one of the most unprofitable areas to sell anything!  once you add up the fees, and those of PayPal your margin is a few dollars.  Then you have thoe selling knock-offs, fakes, copies and undercutting the price you need to get for your legitimate merchandise that no one buys because it is too high of a price.  You need to sell locally, establish trade relations with shop owners, and use college papers to move your merchandise.  If you have some cash start a website.  Almost everyone looking for a $350 iPhone is trying to sell them on eBay for $700+ and this is exactly the buyer the scammers are going after, those who are ignorant and greedy!
