Going through the list of the companies in Alibaba, almost 1/3 of companies are listed as manufacturers of memory cards and flash drives. All have generic photos of production lines and supposedly factory floors. Many repeat the same photos.


Wondering who the genuine manufacturers of memory cards and flash drives are. Which companies are large enough to do OEM ? How can one find out for certain , that there is no middle men buying as a trading agent ( low quality cards) and putting stickers on them and selling at a premium price ??

I don't agree with you, we not need larger, but we need professional.

Yes, there's a lot of factories making these items, such like the place I live there really a pouch of them around me.

It is not bad to have a representive to help you get the right one and keep your eyes on them. and make sure the chip(IC), semi-controler and circuitboard rout, don't always cut prices on factories, this may push them to use low quality chip.  and remember that this items do need a inspection before it shipped.

Remember that everything starts from manufacture and then trickles down to container, reseller then reseller again and again untill it hits the customer.

If you need large quantity sure you should turn to real factory and need someone to help you inspect the products. But if you need a small quantity, I think most of real facotry will not supply because usually factory put order into products when order reach certain quantity. So at such situation maybe better to turn to wholesalers.
